Lucretia brings more than 35 years of experience in healthcare, including 16 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner. From an early age, nursing was clearly a calling, and it has been a privilege throughout the career to serve and advocate for others.Lucretia’s practice is grounded in respect, compassion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity, and is guided by current evidence‑based practice (EBP) guidelines. A strong commitment exists to developing individualized care plans that meet patients where they are in life, with goals that are both realistic and attainable. Lucretia is a Louisianan to heart. Born and raised in South Louisiana, she loves engaging in our rich culture, reading, vacationing, taking walks, and eating some of the best cuisines in our area. Spending time with family and friends keeps her calendar very busy. Lucretia is a member of the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale, an all female Mardi Gras Krewe in the Greater New Orleans Area (NOLA), and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a proud veteran of the US Army Reserves, retired rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC-R) with over 26 years of service.
Lucretia is married to Alton James, Jr. and they have two adult sons.
